Liverpool ONE Foundation: £297,997 Awarded to Support Young People’s Mental Health Across Merseyside
More than £297,000 has been awarded to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people across Merseyside, an initiative by the Liverpool ONE Foundation aimed at backing community-led solutions.
A total of 12 grants have been distributed to local organisations, benefitting 5,395 young people across the region. The funding will support a range of grassroots projects that offer mental health support, safe spaces, and practical help for children and young people facing growing pressures in their everyday lives.
Supporting Young Minds Across Merseyside
From early intervention services and creative therapies to group sessions that help build confidence and emotional resilience, each project funded through Liverpool ONE Foundation is tailored to meet the needs of young people in the communities they live in.
These grants will support work that:
- Improves mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Tackles loneliness, anxiety, and low self-esteem
- Provides accessible support outside traditional clinical settings
- Encourages connection, creativity, and confidence
At a time when young people are facing increasing challenges, from the lasting impact of the pandemic to the pressures of social media and the cost-of-living crisis, this funding represents an important investment in their future.
A Shared Commitment to Change
This funding round is a continuation of Liverpool ONE Foundation’s long-term commitment to mental health and community wellbeing across the region. By focusing on prevention and early support, it aims to reduce the number of young people reaching crisis point and instead help them to build the skills and confidence they need to navigate life’s challenges.
As these 12 funded projects begin their work, the hope is that more young people across Merseyside will feel less alone and more equipped to look after their mental health
