June and July Event Highlights from Community Foundation for Merseyside

At the Community Foundation for Merseyside (CFM), our mission is to connect people who care with causes that matter. Over June and July, our team has had many opportunities to meet and work with people making a real difference across the region, individuals and organisations striving to improve lives and strengthen communities.

Liverpool Charity Investment Conference – Evelyn Partners

CFM was delighted to be part of the Liverpool Charity Investment Conference hosted by Evelyn Partners. Our CEO, Rae Brooke, joined a panel of sector leaders for a thought-provoking discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing charities today. As part of the “Discussions with a Charity Leader” panel, Rae shared insights on the evolving role of Community Foundations, the importance of sustainable funding, and the power of place-based philanthropy.

The conference provided a valuable forum to connect with peers, exchange knowledge, and explore how strong financial strategies can support long-term charitable impact.

FPC Foundation Summer Social

We joined our donors, FPC, in celebrating 25 years in Ainsdale and five years of the FPC Foundation, a fantastic evening that brought together clients, professional advisors, funders, and charity partners to celebrate the power of giving and community.

FPC’s continued commitment to local giving raised over £6,000 on the night, supporting grassroots projects across the region. We share FPC’s passion for giving back. Since launching their foundation with us in 2020, the FPC Foundation has awarded over £117,000 in grants, reaching more than 10,000 people.

Our partnership goes beyond their named fund, we work closely with FPC to offer our services to their clients, giving them the opportunity to create lasting local impact.

Zoe’s Place Celebration

CFM was honoured to attend the celebration at Zoe’s Place, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the hospice. Following their successful £5 million fundraising campaign to keep the hospice open, Zoe’s Place is now preparing to continue its work in a new, state-of-the-art facility at Haymans Green. The fundraising campaign captured the hearts of Merseyside and the rest of the country. Our donors Football for Change were so inspired by Zoe’s Place they donated £21,000 to their campaign.
