About the Fund
The Sefton Education and Learning Fund is available to advance the education of young people aged 25 or under, living in Sefton, and to benefit those groups or charities who provide an educational service or facility in the area.
Fund Criteria
To advance the education of young people aged 25 or under, living in Sefton.
Any special criteria/priorities
- Applicants must be a resident of Sefton
- Priority will be given to individuals from low income families, and to particularly innovative causes.
- The fund can not cover the cost of international travel abroard
Amount Available
Grants of up to £500 to cover costs of educational materials and courses.
How to Apply?
You can download the application form via the ‘Apply Now’ button. Please email all supporting documents to us at applications@cflm.org.uk.
Documents which need to be included with your application:
1. Proof of residence is required to be sent with your application for all of the funds (a copy of a utility bill/ driving licence or other similar document stating your home address will suffice)
2. A copy of a recent bank statement (if you do not have your own bank account, the name and address of a person over 18 years of age, who has a bank account and is willing to receive payment on your behalf)
3. A Letter of Acceptance/support from one of the following:
– University
– Higher Education establishment
– College
– Education Provider
– Course Provider
– Sports Institution
If you have applied to us within the last 12 months and provided this information, we do not need you to send it again, although we may require a more recent bank statement.
Completed applications are considered by Community Foundation staff to check eligibility. You may be contacted for more information after applying and a decision-making panel will make recommendations based on the fund’s criteria and the budget available.
