Jamie Carragher Joins BGC Charity Day 2026

Every year, BGC Group marks the anniversary of 9/11 by donating 100% of its global revenues for the day to charity, working alongside the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund. The tradition honours the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees lost that day and has grown into one of the world’s largest single-day fundraising events. For 24 hours, BGC’s trading floors are transformed into a festival of philanthropy. Celebrities, business leaders and charity representatives swap their usual roles for a seat among professional brokers, taking real client calls and executing genuine trades.

This year, we joined Jamie down in London to see it all first-hand, watching him pick up the phones and take his place on the trading floor alongside the professionals.

The trading floor itself was busy and overwhelming in the best possible way. The noise, energy and sheer pace of the environment felt like stepping onto Wall Street. Jamie’s efforts helped raise an estimated £75,000 for the 23 Foundation, the charity he established in 2009 to create opportunities for young people in the communities where he grew up.

A huge thank you to BGC Group for inviting us to be part of the day, to the staff who showed us around and made us feel so welcome, and to the brokers themselves for their incredible work and commitment to raising money for such important causes.
