23 Foundation Visits Summer Projects Across Sefton

Members of the Community Foundation team joined Jamie yesterday to visit three community organisations that have received funding from the 23 Foundation this summer. As part of his commitment Jamie wanted to see firsthand how his funding is helping young people and their families across Sefton.

Netherton Feel Good Factory: Superheroes Holiday HQ

Awarded: £2,445

Our first stop was Netherton Feel Good Factory, where young people have been spending their summer becoming superheroes.

Through a superhero-themed holiday club that promotes teamwork and positive community values, children are learning that being a hero doesn’t always require a cape. Judging by the energy in the room, Liverpool’s next generation of superheroes is already well underway!

Liverpool Six Community Association: Fuel the Fun

Awarded: £2,500

Next, we headed over to Liverpool Six Community Association and their fantastic Fuel the Fun programme, where practical support and valuable life skills go hand in hand.

Families attending the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme receive food parcels throughout the school holidays, helping to ensure they have access to nutritious meals at home.

Sports Alive North West: World Cup Focus

Awarded: £2,500

The world cup maybe over for many of us but not for the young people at our final stop.

We ended our tour in Fazakerley with Sports Alive North West, who are delivering a ten-week World Cup Focus programme designed to introduce young people to sports and cultures from across the globe.

Thank You

A huge thank you to the team and services users at Netherton Feel Good Factory, Liverpool Six Community Association and Sports Alive North West for welcoming us and sharing the work they do. We left feeling inspired!
