Two of Our Trustees Honoured by the King
The King’s Birthday Honours list has recognised two long-standing champions of community giving, and we couldn’t agree more.
Arthur Roberts MBE
Arthur Roberts, our former Chair, has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to the community in Lancashire and Merseyside. Arthur played a central role in setting up the Community Foundation for Lancashire, before going on to chair both CFL and, after the merger, CFLM. Over 16 years, he steered us through recessions, restructures and strategy renewals. CFLM would not be the organisation it is today without Arthur’s guidance and involvement.

Ram Gupta BCAe BEM
Ram Gupta, a current trustee and Blackburn-born tech entrepreneur, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the community in Lancashire. Founder of IT firm Nybble, Ram has channelled his business success into making a difference supporting serval local charities. His technological insight ensures CFLM is ready in an ever-increasing digital environment. Ram’s energy and deep-rooted commitment to giving back has inspired many—us included.

Congratulations, Arthur and Ram—and thank you both for everything you bring to CFLM and to the communities we serve.
