David Costelloe, Programmes Manager, Community Foundation for Merseyside, has received a High Sheriff Award, in recognition of his hard work and commitment.
The awards, hosted by the High Sheriff of Merseyside Dr Ruth Hussey CB, OBE, reward the contributions of those dedicated to making a difference in their community.
James Proctor, Programmes Director, commented,
“The High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund has been managed by the Community Foundation for Merseyside since 2009, and David has been the fund manager for the last 2 years.
“It has been an honour and privilege to work with the High Sheriff, and we are delighted that David’s hard work and commitment has been recognised.”
The High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund works with charities and community groups in Merseyside to support community safety, crime prevention and security initiatives in their locality. A key focus is to enable the provision of diversionary activities that engage children and young people, reducing their vulnerability to crime and engaging in anti-social behaviour.
