LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Support Fund

As a result of the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak, particularly for those most vulnerable people within our communities, Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram in partnership with the Community Foundation for Merseyside has launched the LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Support Fund to support community and voluntary organisations on the frontline.

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has kickstarted the fund with an initial £200,000 donation with a separate £790,000 contribution coming from the National Emergencies Trust. This is being held separately by the Community Foundation for Merseyside ready for distribution.

The LCR Cares Virgin Money Giving appeal platform is an online giving option which has been established so the people of the Liverpool City Region can also easily contribute, if they can, to the immense need of the most vulnerable in our community.
