LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Support Fund

As a result of the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak, particularly for those most vulnerable people within our communities, Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram in partnership with the Community Foundation for Merseyside launched the LCR Cares COVID-19 Community Support Fund to support community and voluntary organisations on the frontline.

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority kickstarted the Fund with an initial £200,000 donation and separately, over £1.7m has been contributed by the National Emergencies Trust along with additional funds from businesses, individuals and the wider public. Funds are being held separately by the Community Foundation for Merseyside, with grants distributed to charitable organisations and community groups across the Liverpool City Region.
