Programmes Manager
I am one of the Programme Managers and work with a number of philanthropists and corporate donors, including Jamie Carragher and his 23 Foundation, Peel Ports, the High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Fund and the Hill Dickinson Foundation. I support the voluntary and community sector and enjoy attending outreach events to promote the work of the Foundation and to advertise its grant programmes. I work on a part-time basis 3.5 days a week.
I have worked at the Community Foundation since January 2001 when it was originally Sefton Community Foundation and based in Southport. I began as a part time grants officer working on 2 funds and now manage approximately 20 funds. My role includes ensuring that monies are distributed to those most in need and that grants are spent effectively in accordance with the original request. I enjoy visiting groups we have funded and seeing how the grant has been spent and what difference it has made to the organization.
In my spare time I am a keen gardener and have an allotment. I also like cycling and walking, am a regular park runner and enjoy playing badminton.
