The EU Referendum

Building Stronger Communities Together

The result of the EU referendum is yet to be fully understood, however the Community Foundations have already been assessing the effects on its work in communities to plan for the coming months and years in a new landscape.

The Community Foundations strive to build stronger communities together with its donors and partners for current and future generations. Our work to support the needs and aspirations of local people and their neighbourhoods is now even more vital at this immediate time of uncertainty as well as to tackle any future local effects, especially for the most vulnerable.

We will continue to work with those who donate and invest funds with us to ensure stability in the funding we distribute for and with communities to aim to grow prosperity for Lancashire and Merseyside in particular as well as the North of England overall.

The approach of building stronger communities together is strongly encouraged at this time across communities, sectors and political activities.
