Age UK, a recent beneficiary of the Knowsley Foundation Enterprise Grant Fund, transforms a local community centre.
During a mentoring session with the centre manager, included as part of the award, it became clear that the building was in need of urgent repair.
Knowing this, Knowsley Chamber of Commerce together with Knowsley CVS sent out a call to businesses to provide “One Day of Support”
Answering the call, AkzoNobel and Novus kindly donated paint and materials. Local businesses providing volunteers included Network Rail and Weightmans Solicitors. Together with the help of local volunteers, they managed to bring the centre back to life.
A huge well done to everyone involved!
